I got this done really fast^^ I haven't written TegoPi for a while, and this one is specially written for all the lovely TegoPi-fans out there^^ I hope it will do as a Merry Christmas-fic, and that I managed to create at least some Christmas-atmosphere^^
Merry Christmas everyone!
Happy Christmas-songs played loudly, slightly deafen by thousands of voices that talked to each other about how to spend this Christmas eve. Yamapi couldn’t help but feel lonely, walking around in town by himself among all the happy couples and families. To spend Christmas eve all alone had to be one of the most depressing things in life. Christmas was the season of love, but if you didn’t have anyone to spend it with, it wasn’t happy at all. Yamashita’s family had gone away on a trip, and he couldn’t go with them because of work. Most of his friends were going to spend Christmas eve with their families or lovers, and as a result, he was going to spend it alone. He had asked Tegoshi, one of his closest friends if he wanted to make him company today, but even he was busy with his family. It made Yamashita sad, his greatest wish was to spend Christmas with Tegoshi, and even better would be to spend it with him as a couple. He had after a long time realized that he was in love with Tegoshi, even thought he had tried to date many girls just to prove the opposite. It didn’t work, and barely even distracted his mind. He had more than one time thought that Tegoshi liked him too, but his hope was quickly crushed when Tegoshi announced the news that he had a new girlfriend. Yamashita’s heart had broken with every new girl Tegoshi dated, and it just indicated even more how much he loved him. It was probably an unrequited love, which had lasted for years. Yamashita had given up on Tegoshi. Or actually, his brain had given up, his heart hadn’t. He knew that it would never be anything between the two of them, but he still loved him with his entire heart.
Yamashita walked down the street, he had had his share of the Christmas-love for today, and it made him depressed. Snowflakes started to fall from the dark sky, creating that special atmosphere that everyone wanted for this season. Yamashita swallowed down the lump in his throat, there was no need to cry over this. But still, he couldn’t refuse that he wished that Tegoshi had been here with him, and they could have enjoyed this beautiful view together. Yamashita just sighed deeply and continued to walk on. He could now see his apartment building, and felt lonelier than ever when he saw his apartment’s dark windows. He walked up the stairs slowly, not wanting to reach the loneliness that waited him. He took out his keys and locked up his door. When he opened it, he could hear the soft tones of a Christmas-song from his living room. He hurried there, and almost felt his eyes tear up when he saw the scene in front of him. On a table in the middle of the room, two candles stood, creating a cosy atmosphere, and from the CD-player, a Christmas-CD was playing. The entire room was decorated with Christmas-decorations and was like taken from a sappy, but sweet Christmas-movie that always was aired on TV this season. Yamapi looked around in the room, and finally saw Tegoshi standing in a corner, smiling towards him.
“Merry Christmas, Pi.”
Yamashita couldn’t stop himself, took some steps toward the boy and embraced him warmly. “What are you doing here? Weren’t you going to be with your family?” He broke the hug and looked at Tegoshi who just smiled.
“I figured they can do fine without me this year. I have spent every Christmas in my life with them, they do survive without me one year.”
Yamashita just smiled. Tegoshi tipped his head to the side. “It would be too sad if you were going to be alone on this night.”
Yamashita didn’t know how to express his gratefulness, but he tried to put all his emotions into a smile. “Thank you so much, Tegoshi.”
Tegoshi just shook his head and smiled. “There no need to thank me, we’re friends, right?”
It turned out that Tegoshi already had prepared the food, so they took their plates full and sat down by the little table with the candles. The first thing that Yamapi could think of was romantic. As if they were on a date or something, the candles reflecting in Tegoshi’s eyes in a way that made Yamashita drown in them. He felt so at ease, maybe it was Tegoshi’s laid back aura that always made him feel like that. The food was actually good, despite that Tegoshi was the cook. “The food is delicious.”
Tegoshi smiled. “Really? I’m glad, I don’t want to serve you crappy food on Christmas eve.”
Yamapi laughed. “I don’t think I can thank you enough for this, Tegoshi.”
Tegoshi smiled. “It’s nothing. I’m just glad that I can do something for you.”
“You really have, this means so much for me.” He was so close to say it that moment, so close to say I love you. But he didn’t, even thought the moment was just right, just perfect.
Tegoshi had run out to the hallway, and was now back, holding a little packet in his hands, wrapped in colourful paper. He reached it to Yamashita, smiling widely.
“No Christmas without presents.”
Yamashita took it, and started to unwrap it carefully, Tegoshi watching him expectantly, like a little child. When he had removed the paper, he had a little black box in his hands. He opened it slowly, finding a beautiful necklace inside. He took it out, the silver chain glittered in the light of the candles. “Wow, it’s so beautiful.”
Tegoshi smiled from ear to ear. “I’m glad you like it. I wanted to buy something that was more…well more. But I figured that when it comes to you, things that are like you is the best, simple but beautiful.”
Yamashita’s heart raced, Tegoshi surely knew how to make him stunned with words. He stood up and walked to his bedroom, searched through his drawer, until he found the present that he had prepared for Tegoshi. Tegoshi looked like a little child when he received the present and started to open it. His eyes widened when he saw what was inside.
“Pi, these are tickets to my favourite bands concert…but they where sold out…how did you…?”
Yamashita just smiled. “How I got them is my little secret.”
“But…they must have been so expensive…”
“You’re worth it.” Yamashita looked Tegoshi in the eyes and smiled. Tegoshi smiled back, widely.
“Thank you so much, Pi.”
After that, they did what you always do after opening your presents, they watched a Christmas-movie on the television. Yamashita usually didn’t like these kinds of movies all that much, but every crappy movie in the world would have turned into an oscar-winner when Tegoshi sat curled up in the sofa beside him. After a long while, Tegoshi rose, and grabbed Yamashita’s wrist. “Pi, will you come with me for a second?”
Yamashita rose and walked with him, up all the stairs until they where on the roof of the house. Yamashita laughed a bit. “Tegoshi, what are we going to do up here?”
Tegoshi smiled. “I have another Christmas present to give you.”
Yamashita laughed. “And you have to give it to me up here?”
Tegoshi nodded, and his eyes were determined. “Close your eyes.”
Yamashita did as he was told. He closed his eyes, and waited for Tegoshi to tell him to open them, but he didn’t. Instead, he could feel Tegoshi’s soft lips on his own, kissing him gentle and tender. Yamashita froze on the spot, unable to move and even think. This was better than any dream, he had never expected something like this to happen. Tegoshi broke the kiss, and looked him deep in his eyes. “Pi, I love you.”
Yamashita grabbed Tegoshi’s waist, and leaned in to press their lips together in another kiss. He drew the boy closer to himself, putting one hand behind his neck, deepening the kiss. When he broke the kiss, he just smiled widely. “I love you too, more than I can say.”
Tegoshi practically smiled from ear to ear, and his eyes sparkled brighter than the stars above them. He hugged Yamashita tightly, and Yamashita wasn’t late to wrap his arms around the boy’s waist, holding him close to himself. “I thought you didn’t thought of me like that.”
Tegoshi giggled. “I have always thought of you like that. It just took me a while to gather the courage to tell you.”
Yamashita caressed Tegoshi’s hair. “This is the best present I could ever receive.”
Tegoshi giggled again, and tightened his grip around Yamashita’s waist. “I figured that out.”
“Have you planned this?”
Tegoshi shook his head. “I came up with it just before dragging you out here. I’m really spontaneous, aren’t I?”
Yamashita laughed and hit his head lightly. “I’m glad you are.”
“Me too. Merry Christmas, Pi.”
“Merry Christmas, Tegoshi. Thanks for giving me the best Christmas gift ever.”
